RFI alert for Nov and Dec 2014

This is an update on the previous alert issued earlier this fall.

The UAT is scheduled to observe Nov 23-29 and hence should not be impacted by this alert.

THERE IS A NEW UPDATE FOR THE DEC 2014 PERIOD; DOES NOT AFFECT US

The US Space Command has updated to the following schedule for the
LAZAP/RZAP tests of their new GPS satellite. The space vehicle
(GPS IIF-8, SV69) is scheduled for launch 20141029. They will take
precautions to limit the L3 transmissions of other satellites during
    the test.

(These extended-duration tests are in addition to the regular, daily
    short-duration (< 180 sec/day) GPS-L3 tests allowed for in the USAF/
    NSF MOU.)

VLA & VLBA schedulers should attempt to schedule 1381 MHz use around
these times if possible. Observing scientists should be made aware of
the increased possibility of corrupted data on these dates and times.
VLA and VLBA operators should note unusual L-band Tsys or total power
fluctuations observed during these times in the Operator Log forwarded
    to observers.

Please forward any conflicts with your schedules to me and I will
work with them on reducing the impact, if possible.
